In Summer
Raise the settings on your air conditioning thermostat and turn on your Airflow ceiling fan. The cool summer breeze generated by the fan will make you feel cooler and at the same time you can save on energy costs.

The breeze from an Airflow fan produces a cooling sensation on your skin which we know as the "wind chill effect". When the air in a room is moving, it feels much cooler. Using and Airflow ceiling fan on a hot summer's day can make you feel much more comfortable and will cost less than running your air conditioning. On especially hot, humid days, turn on your ceiling fan right along with the air conditioner. Raise the thermostat and still feel cool and comfortable while saving as much as 25% to 40% on your energy costs.

In Winter
Because warm air rises, it becomes trapped near the ceiling where much of the energy is wasted. This is even more of a problem with cathedral ceilings. In fact, in a standard room the winter temperature differential from ceiling to floor may be as much as 15 degrees.

By using your Airflow ceiling fan on the low, reverse setting, the warmer air trapped at the ceiling is moved gently down to the living area. You can lower the thermostat setting, yet still feel comfortable while saving on your heating bills.

Airflow fans aren't just for cooling. In the winter months the addition of a ceiling fan can make your home feel warm and cozy while lowering your heating bills. By evenly dispersing the heated air, the temperature will remain constant from floor to ceiling. This continual re-circulation of warm air allows you to lower the room's thermostat setting resulting in energy savings of 10% or more.
